Back in 2002, the Dhabba opened to give Scotland something it
had never seen before – authentic north Indian cuisine. Today,
the award-winning restaurant continues to serve up the true
taste of north India, while its sister restaurant the Dakhin
specialises in south Indian cooking. In 2007, both restaurants
were awarded the Scottish Tourist Board’s Eat Scotland Cultural
Cuisine Excellence Award.
The Dhabba was launched to not only be a stepping stone on a
night out, but also to be a night out in itself. It’s an
experience that has brought people back time and time again to
discover dishes never before encountered in Scotland. This isn’t
your standard curry, this is cuisine that has been refined over
hundreds of years, but given a modern touch. And the restaurant
takes pride in using fresh, natural ingredients, without any
artificial colours or flavourings.
Part of the experience is the restaurant’s exceptional
customer service. The warm waiting staff are there to offer
advice and suggestions, offering a window on this fantastic
cuisine.
